You’re an MF… What?!

A marriage and family therapist!  That’s what MFT means.

According to the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT), MFTs are mental health professionals trained not just in psychotherapy, but in the diagnosis and treatment of mental and emotional disorders within the context of marriage, couples and family systems.  MFTs take a holistic perspective to health care; they are concerned with the overall, long-term well-being of individuals and their families.

An MFT practicing in Chicago… well, Oak Park, IL to be exact…. that’s me! Welcome to my website.

Mind you, my hope is not just to share information about marriage and family therapy with you.  (In fact, your reading and interacting with this blog does not in any way constitute a therapeutic relationship.)  Instead, my intention is to present to you interesting and entertaining information, stories, resources, and links about all things related to love, marriage, divorce, remarriage, kids, joy, health, life, death… the whole shebang.

Please bear with me – I know close to nothing about blogging or how to use WordPress… but I’m going to give this a try…  Fingers crossed.

Thank you for taking this journey with me!  I look forward to your comments and questions.
